Beau Bloggers

This post has been sitting in my drafts for the longest time, I have finally gotten everything sorted and I'm really happy with the post. It has required a lot of time and work from a lot of people so I really hope you enjoy it!

Hey guys! If you didn't already know, I'm part of an amazing Google+ blogging community called Beau Bloggers. I joined this community after watching Izzy K's video about Beau Bloggers. Joining this community was the best decision I have made for my blog. I was so thankful for Izzy K's video and I want to help one of you like she helped me by opening up the world of Beau Bloggers to you. I have been lucky enough to feature a few of my favourite Beau Bloggers, a big thank you to everybody who has agreed to be a part of this post! I have received so much support from the girls that are a part of Beau Bloggers and made some true friendships with other bloggers. I also have so many more blogs to read and it's wonderful!

I asked some of my favourite Beau Bloggers for their opinion on the community and here is what they said:

"Beau Bloggers is amazing. That pretty much sums it up. I love it, and it has helped me so much with my blogging. I have made friends on there that I most certainly never would have before, and I have been able to see and support other blogs which I now love to pieces! I am on Beau Bloggers every day, looking at the new posts and finding more and more blogs that I can read! As well as this, Beau Bloggers has helped me, in the same way I would like to think I am helping others. Without it, my blog would not get any reads, and although I don't care about views, I think that if no one saw my blog I would probably be quite disheartened and would definitely not have done as much as I have! So, as I said, Beau Bloggers is amazing, and there is no other way to put it!" - Elise Brown, author of I Can't Think Help

"I’m absolutely delighted to be able to talk about the wonderful blogging community that is Beau Bloggers. This community was founded by the lovely Lauren Williams in 2014 and since then me (Izzy K) and her have taken pride in running it with such supportive individuals.
Beau Bloggers is a wonderful place where you can get to know fellow bloggers. Absolutely anyone with an interest in blogging is welcome to join. It doesn’t matter how old you are, where you come from, what you like to write about, you are 100% welcome in this community. The best bit is, you don’t even need to be a blogger yourself because it’s still an amazing way to find fantastic blogs.
I can honestly, with my hand on my heart, say that this community has completely changed my blogging experience. At first it can be really hard to get your blog out there, and have people read and interact with what you’re posting. But as more and more people started to join Beau Bloggers, I found a significant increase in the traffic of my blog, and received so many kind comments.
And that brings me onto the next thing that I want to talk about- the support from fellow Beau Bloggers. Not only is each member completely, and utterly embraced into the community, but we are all so supportive of each other. It’s truly like a little family. No matter what is going on in your own life, you know that you can always rely on your friends from Beau Bloggers to give you support, advice and just generally share your successes and life achievements with.
Beau Bloggers has most definitely formed many friendships. You really receive loyal readers to your blog, who are all on the same blogging journey with you and get to experience everything with you as you post onto your blog. And it’s always so lovely to read other people’s comment that they get on their blogs, because you know that they have found each other through Beau Bloggers and have really got to know each other.
So if you’re wondering how to get yourself known in the big sea of bloggers, but have no idea where to start, I would definitely recommend Beau Bloggers to you. Through the amazing support I have received from this community, I have really gained a lot of confidence to try a lot of new things, such as starting a YouTube channel. I know that’s also the case for many other members, so if you’re looking for encouragement in any aspect of your life, especially blogging, please know that Beau Bloggers will always welcome you with open arms." - Izzy K, author of Izzy K and Izzy K Reviews & More

"The thing I love the most about Beau Bloggers is the community itself. Everyone supports each other, comments on each other's posts and looks out for each other. I have yet to have a blog problem that a Beau Blogger can't solve! But more than that, I love being a part of something - to be an active member of the community - and to always have someone to lean on. I've made so many blogging friends through this community, and this is so helpful! Sometimes, with blogging, you can lose motivation or run out of steam. Having friends who blog help so much because they motivate you and give you ideas and collab with you and, basically make your blog better than it ever could have been otherwise! Join Beau Bloggers and you won't be disappointed! Your traffic will increase, you'll get more comments, and you'll just have so much more fun blogging - and at the end of the day, if you're not having fun blogging, then you're not doing it right!" - Lou, author of Lou's World

I joined Beau Bloggers just a few days after starting my blog and was wholeheartedly welcomed into the community. Everyone in this wonderful group is talented, encouraging, and motivating. Every time I post on my blog and put the link to my post on our Google + site, a smile is instantly put on my face because of the thoughtful comments these girls leave. A lot of my page views come from them, and I’m very thankful that they continue to come back to my blog and continue reading what I have to say. They take the time to read my posts and I really appreciate that. When I’m feeling sad, I know someone is there to offer me advice or tell me that they have been in the same position and there are ways to get through it. When I’m happy, I know someone is there to share the love. This group is also an amazing way to meet new people that have some of the same interests you do. Some are lifestyle bloggers, some beauty, fashion, art, cooking, and so much more. Not only are you bound to find people who you can bond over hobbies with, but you will always have something to read, because everyone is active and engaged. Whether I want to read about a new recipe, a review, a rant, advice, outfit ideas, or pretty much anything else, I can always count on this lovely group of girls because there are always new posts to read from them. They are all beautiful on the inside and out and that shows in their writing. Beau Bloggers is an incredible community and will welcome everyone who joins with love and support. - Harel Ziv, author of Writing

"Beau Bloggers is such a supportive community. I've met so many bloggers who share common interests with me, which I love. It's also a great way to find people to collaborate with. All the girls are super sweet and supportive too." - Tara Neill, author of Dancing Through Life

Mood Boosters

Hey guys! It's been a great day today, everything was pretty normal but I just felt happy and lively, a few things influenced my great mood, some little things that make me feel alive. I want to write about some of my favourite mood boosters that always pick me up if I'm sad or contribute to an all-around good day.

Making new friends
I love getting to know people and making friends with people, it makes me feel so elevated and happy. This applies to any place that you make friends but over the last few weeks I have been getting to know a handful of bloggers through the Q&A series that I am currently working on (read more about it here) and talking to them has made me so happy.

Watching the sunrise
Getting up early enough to see the sunrise is definitely a mood booster (unless you didn't get enough sleep haha). Although getting up super early is something we feel is impossible, having a couple of hours to yourself before you need to go to work/school will honestly make you feel so organised! You can get work done, take as long as you want to eat breakfast and scroll through your social media sites so you don't feel like you need to catch up on anything during work/school.

Talking to friends
I already talked about how great making friends makes me feel but it's also great to talk to the friends that you already have. If you have good friends, they will elevate your mood and make you feel special, who doesn't want that? Joking around with your friends can put you in a silly mood which is always interesting! Sometimes the stress from work/school can take a toll on your happy side and being with your friends can help you to put things into perspective.

Listen to or play music
Countless studies have shown that music boosts your mood, whether you are playing it or listening to it. I had a great guitar practice today and it made me completely forget about all the work I have to do for school, I was so drowned (in the best way) by the music. Music can distract you from getting work done so maybe listen to some songs while you are getting ready for the day, the good vibes will last the whole day haha.

Hang out with animals
Animals have been used as therapy for many decades so we know how helpful they are to heal our souls. I think it's really cool how animals pick up on your mood and cuddle up to you or play with you. When you're sad, cuddles from an animal is healing and just plain adorable, they will boost your mood even if you already feel on top of the world.

I hope you have enjoyed my post on mood boosters, hopefully these will help you cheer up or help you have a great day from the start. Have a beautiful, happy, day and I will see you all very soon. Byeeeeeee!

Blogging Update + My Cat

Hey guys! I just want to tell you a bit about why I have been so absent recently, I am actually working on some blog stuff that I can't post yet, I'll talk all about that later, but first I want to show you a few pictures I took of my cat. Her name is Mindy and I call her Mindy Moo a lot of the time. Yesterday Mindy decided to copy me and went to sleep under the cover with her head on the pillow, I was laughing so hard at this and of course I took some pictures.

"Did you just wake me up?"

"Just five more minutes Mum"

"Okay I'm getting up" *Takes off duvet*
2 hours later...

"I'm up, are you happy?"
I took another picture of Mindy that I seriously love, she looked up at exactly the right time:

Aww, she's so cute!!!

Now that I'm completely assured that you are sick of my cat, I can talk about why I have been so absent these last few days. The first reason is that I'm quite sick at the moment, but don't worry, I have stocked up on lemon and honey drinks and aloe vera tissues. The second (and main) reason is that I have been really busy working really hard on my Q&A series (which you can read about here and email me about here, there is still room for you to feature in the series) for you. I have been writing out questions, contacting people, sending emails and countless other things and the truth is that I'm feeling uninspired and drained for current posts because I'm focusing so much on these posts for the future, don't get me wrong, I love doing that, I'm just feeling bad for not having anything to post at the moment.

Sorry for rambling on, I feel like I owe you an explanation. Thanks for reading and looking at picture of my baby girl (my cat). I'm really looking forward to sharing the Q&As with you! As I mentioned earlier, I need more people for the series so if you are a blogger and you want me to ask you some questions for my blog, email me here or read more about the series here.

Q&A Series

Hey guys, I'm currently working on a Q&A series in which I will be asking 7 bloggers, 7 questions over 7 days (if that makes any sense at all). All of the bloggers will be mystery guests so you won't know who they are until the posts. I can tell you that there are 4 more places available, if you would like to be apart of this project them email me by clicking here, I will respond as soon as possible and you could be apart of this project! I might contact you personally about this as I would like to fill the gaps ASAP. I would just like to add that I could do a part two of this if I get enough requests.

Thanks so much for reading this post, I hope to see a few of you over at my email!

What's In My Camera | Part One

Hey guys! I have decided to let you see what is hidden in the depths of my camera. Although I don't have an Instagram, my SD card is like my personal Instagram, I put everything on my camera and today I am going to let you see what's in it! I hope you like these photos!

I was out for a walk in the park and I saw this beautiful flower, I had taken my camera on this walk so I knew that I had to take a picture and it came out pretty good.

Something about this bridge is magical and I wanted to catch that on camera.

Ice cream, because why not?

This is my first painting! I'm going to try out painting, I had a lot of fun doing this. I know it simple but it means something to me.

Haha, lovely mirror selfie there, I'm not too sure why I'm holding the camera so strangely!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these photos, I'll be back with more very soon, byeeeeeeeee!

How I Created My Happy Jar

Hey guys! I have already mentioned that I absolutely love Elise from I Can't Think Help's idea of a Happy Jar, I know that there are days when I seem to only see the flaws in myself, so I think this idea is perfect to pull out on those hard days. A Happy Jar can be a lot of things, for example Elise's Happy Jar is for writing things she loves about her body and I also thought that you could create one for a friend about their personality. My Happy Jar is going to be filled with compliments that people have given me, specifically on my blog and YouTube channel, I find that things other people have said about me help me out a lot when I'm having a hard time so this idea works for me. If you are going to create your own Happy Jar, think about what helps you the most when you're down. I'm going to be showing you how I made my Happy Jar but I would love to hear any ideas that you have to add some extra sparkle!

I used an aioli jar, some Scotch Washi Tape and of course some glitter!

Then I basically just did strips of each colour of the washi tape around the jar.

Then it was time for the glitter! I put in a bit of each colour in the jar. Next I put my hand over the top of the jar and mixed the glitter around so that it would go up the sides.

This was the best photo that I could get, sorry about that!
My jar is (kinda) done! Now I need to write down compliments people have given me and stick them in the jar, I think I'm going to spend some time doing that tomorrow. I will probably be making some more Happy Jars so I will update you when I do. I hope this post has inspired you to do something like this, I can already tell that this jar is going to be very handy! Thanks for reading and I will see you all very soon!
